Computer hardware peripherals sales analysis

Computer peripherals are input-output devices of the host computer for example; mouse, keyboard, graphic cards, barcode reader, etc. In this project, Atliq hardware solutions company is facing sales declining and sales manager needs an insight about what happening inside organization taking a decision making. I carried out sales data analysis with the main objective to help this industry increase in their sales.

Sales insights ;

1. Revenue breakdown by cities

2. Revenue breakdown by year and month

3. Top five customers by revenue and sales quantity

4. Top five products by revenue value

Tools used in this project are;

1. SQL(MySQL)

2. EXCEL

3. Tableau

Retrieved data from the data engineer and made a preliminary analysis i.e. data cleaning.

ETL(extract, transform, load) process in Tableau;

• Extracted data from the MySQL database and dumped it into Tableau

• Used star schema method to create relationships among different tables

• Transformed data into convenient and effective manner for better visualization

Below is an automated dashboard providing quick and latest sales insights in order to support data-driven decision making.
